A starliner of a long and varied career, starting as the NorthStar starliner Aphrodite. She first appeared in Poor Man’s Fight.

Aphrodite[]

NSS Aphrodite was a modern luxury starliner built and operated by NorthStar. It could carry around 3,000 passengers and had a crew of at least 600, including service staff and security.[1][2] Like several other corporate starliners, she was built to be able to serve as an auxiliary warship.[3]

En route to Archangel system she was ambushed and captured by pirates under Casey. Most crew were released on lifeboats. Several hundred passengers and crew were spaced, while the remaining passengers were held as hostages for ransom.[1][2]

The ship was brought to Paradise. Its engines were partially disabled by Darren Mills to prevent theft, and its astrogation computers wiped. However, the notes on the engine sabotage were stolen by Vanessa Rios and Gina Ramos, and they left with the ship.[4]

Crew on Aphrodite[]

Aurora[]

Due to the wiping of the astrogation computers, the ship required ten months to reach the Archangel system. It was dubbed Aurora and was first met by the St. Jude.[5]

Argent[]

Aphrodite was taken into service by the Archangel Ministry of Intelligence and converted to an auxiliary and clandestine warship as the Argent, registered with the Archangel Independent Shipping Guild.[6][7] Casey became her captain, and simultanousely the ship his prison. She participated in the evacuation of Archangel citizens on Schehezerade.[8]

She participated in the Battle of Raphael in a major role, ambushing the combined corporate fleet.[9] She survived the battle but with heavy damage.[10] She was rebuilt and renamed, but continued to serve as a clandestine warship for the Archangel Ministry of Intelligence.[11]

Argent then participated in the Archangel attack on Fairhaven, again playing a major role. She carried a crew of mixed Ministry of Intelligence personnel, pirates, and convicts.[12][13]

Undergoing refit on Uriel, the ship was infiltrated by Tanner Malone and its role in the buildup of the Debtor’s War and a covert warship exposed.[14] Her current fate is unknown.
