To throw someone out a window, and an important concept in several of Elliott Kay’s works, especially the Good Intentions series. See also the defenestration warning tag.
General[]
Defenestration—the act of throwing someone out from or through a window onto the ground below, usually from several floors up. The word is formed from the latin prefix de-, here in the meaning of “from”, and the root word fenestra meaning “window” or “opening”. The modern interpretation of throwing someone through a closed window is thus not fully necessary.
They have a strong basis in history. The perhaps most famous example is the 1618 Defenestration of Prague that set off the Thirty Years’ War.

Good Intentions[]
Defenestrations proved to be a strong and often decisive combat tactic, effective against both demons and Practitioners. Especially Alex showed great aptitude for it with a combination of grappling and throws.
Kevin Murray performed an auto-defenestration through the rear window of a pickup truck.[1]
Alex defenestrated Lydia during the Battle of Blackthorne manor.[2]
Drew defenestrated Billy by kicking him through an open window during the Battle of Magnuson Park.[3]
Alex defenestrated Chance by ramming her through a soul mirror into the room behind it.[4]
Alex defenestrated Joe through a portal to Hell during the Battle of the Casino.
Evelyn defenestrated Onyx in the opening of the Battle of Suite 1705.[5] Sammael defenestrated Alex later during the same battle and followed himself, thus performing an autodefenestration.[6] Not to be outdone, Molly defenestrated an unknown member of the Light.
Rachel defenestrated Sarah through a glass wall while hunting a demon hiding by Suite 1705.[7]
Alex defenestrated Ellison Addington through a glass door while attempting to retrieve an invitation to the Family party.[8]
Later, Alex defenestrated Gerhardt and himself, thus performing an autodefenestration, during the Battle of the Silver Delta.[9]
Alex defenestrated a Chinese Practitioner and martial artist while on a hostage rescue mission for the International circle. This was done by throwing him onto a glass table, so perhaps not a perfect example.[10]
Lorelei threw the car fence Reggie through the window and into a trailer.[11] Since the Latin prefix de- means “from” or “down”, this was technically a reverse defenestration.
Evan was thrown through a door and down into the basement.[12] Evan threw Sunday into an empty pool from a second-story walkway.[13]
While on another plane, Amanda defenestrated Bel-Danab into a pit.[14]
Poor Man’s Fight[]
Some of the crew and most passengers on Aphrodite were spaced.[15][16] Tanner Malone later spaced several hundred space pirates from Polaris.[17]
