Biography[]
Doug Bridger studied towards a masters in ancient history, with a focus on superstitions and mysticism. When he posited that it was real to the original believers and tried it out for himself, he found that it worked. He was later recruited by Colleen Nguyen to FBI and the Special Task Force, after a case involving a bound ghost.[1][2]
He took part in the investigation of the Battle of Blackthorne Manor led by Joseph Hauser, where he was coached in surveillance and field work by Nguyen. Bridger’s skills as a sorcerer was critical at several times during the investigation, especially in capturing Lorelei.[3]
In order to empower her escape, Lorelei seduced Bridger.[4] As a result, Bridger has become somewhat obsessed with her.[5] Despite censure over the episode he is still with the Task Force.[6]
His full name is Douglas Bridger, but only Lorelei is known to call him Douglas. Alex’s nickname for him is Special Agent Lapdance.[7]

Bridger is well-versed in the basics but not particularly powerful as a Practitioner. Onyx judges his magical ability to be “limited and personal”.[2] He can create basic wards, detect magical influences or presences, dispell magic, and contact spirits.[1][8] His personal wards were not strong enough to block supernatural suggestions from Lorelei or the physical changes that the lover of a succubus experience.[4]
Possessions[]
Bridger uses a rose quartz crystal as a tool for scrying and to detect magic or other supernatural effects.[1][2]
