A senior angel. She first appeared in Good Intentions.
Biography[]
Hannah served as the guardian of Alex’s first known incarnation, at the Battle of Marathon. At some unknown time she became Rachel’s mentor and confidant.
After the events at the Sacred Heart Cemetery Hannah surreptitiously investigated how Donald had acted as Alex’s guardian throughout his past lives.[1][2] She participated in the meeting about the destruction of Robert Gorge, where she acted as Rachel’s advocate.[3]
She allowed Lorelei to enter the hearing held after the Battle of Blackthorne Manor, and advised Rachel before the judgment of Donald after the Battle of Magnuson Park.[4][5] She also participated in the decision to remove Rachel as Dominion of Seattle and make her a guardian instead.[6] It is likely that she is a member of the advisory and supervisory council over the Dominion of Seattle.
Hannah appears as older than most other angels, and holds a great deal of empathy and compassion for human souls. While not formally a guardian, she does take on the duty now and again.[1] She is more open-minded and ready to bend rules than most angels.
Relationships[]
Hannah has served as Rachel’s confidant and mentor for a long time and cares deeply for her.[1] They have been sexually intimate.[5] She was and remains one of Rachel’s strongest supporters amongst the Hosts, despite often being exasperated by her behaviour.[5]
Theories[]
Like with Lawrence, Hannah’s role and exact duties are unclear. It is possible that she serves to supervise, advise, and mentor guardians in their work.
