“Legitimacy” is a short story published in Habitual Heroes in 2021. Molly, Onyx, and Alex travel to an occult book faire.

Warning[]

“No sex OR violence this time. Weird, I know, my mind is blown, too. Mostly this one is a slice-of-life sort of story with a little relationship stuff and some world-building along the way.”[1]

“Legitimacy” also contains sorcery, fluff, polyamory talk, Tacoma traffic, snarky book titles, price gouging, pop culture references, fantasy depictions of the occult and witchcraft, and innuendo.

Synopsis[]

Alex accompanied Molly and Onyx to Olympia for an Extraordinary Antiquarian and Esoteric Book Faire, introducing him to a different aspect of Practitioner culture. Onyx found an extremely rare and valuable book, but it was very expensive. In the end, Molly settled for less expensive but still filling offerings.
