An officer of the Union Fleet Marines and an old friend to Tanner Malone. She first appeared in Poor Man’s Fight.
Biography[]
Madelyn Carter grew up on Michael in the Archangel system. After graduation she went to Annapolis on Earth in order to become an officer and join the Union Fleet.[1]
She served on the CFS Fletcher as an apprenticeship under Catherine Leigh during its patrol to Archangel.[2] When the Fletcher went to assist St. Jude she provided important information and joined the boarding team.[3]
After commissioning as an officer she joined the Union Fleet intelligence branch at the major fleet base at Zheng He. She was assigned to attempt to make Tanner into a source for the Union Fleet, an attempt that nearly destroyed their friendship.[4] In the end she received information on Tanner’s suspicions regarding Argent and Casey, and helped corroborate many of them.[5][6]
Trivia[]
In the 2013 and 2014 editions of Poor Man’s Fight and Rich Man’s War, Madelyn was named Allison. Her name was changed to Madelyn with the 2015 editions.[7]
