“More Than Friends” is a short story published on Patreon in 2023. Alex spends the weekend with Molly and Onyx. He starts as their chew toy and then assists them house hunting.

Synopsis[]
Alex’s third planned date with Molly and Onyx spanned the weekend. After a stint as their chew toy, he accompanied them going house hunting and received an introduction to magic. The house turned out to be well maintained but also very creepy, and the previous tenant disappeared in September, coinciding with the Battle of Blackthorne Manor. They decided on a midnight visit to solve its mysteries.
Their investigations finally revealed a ghost bound to the house.

The story is set in early December, possibly concurrently with “A Most Noble Quest”.
Theories[]
It is unknown which Practitioner lived in the house earlier and murdered Greg. The initially apparent candidate would be Warren since he was a known necromancer, but it might be another known or unknown member of the Brotherhood. The second likely candidate would be Garrison. He had great knowledge of spirits, was highly capable at bindings, and would also have a greater need for protection against other Practitioners, not being a member of a circle anymore.
It is unknown if Greg walked under Heaven’s light.
