“Rough Day” is a short story published in Small Victories in 2020. Rachel has a bad day at work. Lorelei finds a way to help.
Warning[]
“Rough Day” contains rampant profanity, destruction of private property, portrayals of divine and demonic matters bearing little or no resemblance to religious canon, victim blaming, police, homelessness, mistrust, harsh words, abuse of authority, toxic masculinity, and ordinary jerks.
Synopsis[]
Rachel witnessed how a camp for homeless people was demolished by the Seattle police, and had to mediate between the involved guardian angels. Afterwards, she went to Lorelei to cry on her shoulder.
