The home of Alex, Rachel, and Lorelei. It first appeared in Natural Consequences.

Description[]

Suite 1705 is a large 17th floor luxury apartment and condominium in downtown Seattle, and the home of Alex, Lorelei, and Rachel. It was purchased by Lorelei in September.

It faces Elliott Bay, but does not have an unobstructed view.[1] It has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a balcony, with the kitchen open to the living room and dining area.[2] The living room has a remote-controlled fireplace.[3] It was estimated to have a market value of at least three million dollars.[4][Note 1]

Magical wards have been raised around it by Molly and Onyx, blocking both magical and mundane surveillance.[3] Direct observation is possible for mortals, but not demons.[5] A walk-in closet has been converted to a very small home office, and a weapons safe has been installed in a walk-in closet in the master bedroom.[6][7] Furnishings have been selected with an eye towards both taste and suitability for sexual activities.[4][1]

The building as a whole has a rooftop patio, a gym with sauna, a community center with a theater room, and an attached garage.[2][4] Access to both the building itself and its residences is restricted.[4][8] The corner of the building houses a coffee shop.[9] It is located closest to University Street station, but is within walking distance of both Westlake Station and Pioneer Square station.[7]

The office tower on the opposite side of the street has an office with an unobstructed view of the suite’s hallway, living room, and balcony.[4][5]

Due to its size, ready access to amenities such as take-out pizza and coffeeshops, and magical security it is the preferred base for the Crew.[10][11]

The condo was heavily damaged during the Battle of Suite 1705. The battle also caused damage to nearby condos and the building. Despite insurance, the repairs and settlements stretched Lorelei’s financial reserves.[12][13] The events also caused concern among and tension with other residents of the building.[14]
