A human bandit on the run from family troubles. She first appeared in Run Like Hell.
Biography[]
Teryn was born to Dostin, a duke and later king of Theralda.[1] She was seventeen when Dostin was elected king. She was critical or unsure of many of his father’s policies both as duke and king, but also lacked the breadth of experience to fully understand their full scope or their consequences.[2][3] As an early act of rebellion she had a short fling with Barret.[4] She however actively resisted the decree to exile the goblin people and also attempted to assist the goblins in escaping riots and raids.[3]
When her father attempted to force her into a marriage with Prince Leonden a year year later, she stabbed the prince and became a fugitive.[1][3]
“I know I said was a bandit, but that’s not entirely accurate,” Teryn admitted. “I’m more of a political insurgent.”
— Teryn, Run Like Hell
She had lived on the run for about three years and had joined a group of rebels when she was captured by Olen Zuck’s hobgoblins and imprisoned. As The Crew sought ways to evade the group of adventurers raiding the dungon, they stumbled upon Teryn and she joined them.
She sometimes used Meredith of Blackstone as an alias.[5]
Abilities[]
Teryn was an excellent archer and tracker, and also competent with sword. She had a broad education, including language, politics, history, geography, and diplomacy.[6]
Possessions[]
Teryn owned an elven bow which she inherited from her great-grandfather. Her elven blade was taken from Kiana, an elf adventurer and rogue.[1]
