Nickname for Alex and those of his friends who are aware of the Shadows.

The Crew is an informal grouping of people who are involved in the Shadows and are associated with Alex. Depending on who is asked, they might be viewed as Rachel’s crew, Molly’s and Onyx’s crew, and so on. It lacks formal membership or structure, but functions based on a great degree of friendship and trust. Its membership has expanded with time.
History[]
The Crew began with the confrontation against Robert Gorge, where Drew, Jason, and Wade assisted Alex in fighting and defeating Gorge.[1]
Together with Taylor, who had been introduced to the Shadows by Lorelei, they set out to rescue Alex from Blackthorne Manor and took part in the Battle of Blackthorne Manor.[2][3]
Jason and through him the Crew were a major focus for the Special Task Force in investigating the events in September in Seattle.[4] All of the members but Taylor were at some point arrested by the Task Force. In the end they fought together with the remnants of the Task Force at the Battle of Magnuson Park.[5] Amber became Jason’s girlfriend and befriended the Crew, turning into their primary liaision with the Task Force. Lorelei had also earlier sought out the assistance of Molly and Onyx.
When Molly and Onyx were invited to a meeting of Seattle’s Practitioners in January they sought the help of Alex and Lorelei. Alex accompanied them to the meeting, while the rest of the Crew served as backup. They played various roles during the Battle of the Casino and then fought the Battle of Suite 1705 against the Light. They were assisted in the latter battle by Sierra.
When Alex was approached by Zafirah in order to steal the invitation to the Family party from Masood, the mundane members of the crew served as his backup. Most of the crew, plus Sierra, then travelled to Vancouver where they infiltrated the party and later confronted the Family at the Battle of the Silver Delta. They were assisted by Katerina Sorrow in locating and reaching the ship.
Lorelei was assisted by Alex, Drew, Sierra, and Wade in a heist to recover a stolen artifact in April.[6]

“The Crew” is not used formally within the books, though the phrase comes up now and then.
The group began as a rather classic Five-Man Band, with Alex as the Leader, Wade as the Lancer, Jason as the Smart Guy, Drew as the Big Guy, and Taylor as the Chick.
